Perched above the turquoise Miami waters, a serene respite was created for bustling New Yorkers. The interior architecture was designed with an intent for simplicity and minimalism using living materials that would age gracefully in the salty sea air. The quiet interior architecture allows the furnitures sculptural forms to take center stage. Collectable vintage live alongside bold and brutalist pieces we designed specifically for this space. A beautiful tension plays out between active and quiet, bold and serene.
A feeling of lightness and ease permeates the main living space where wall to wall draperies filter the tropical sun. Wanting to keep the space comfy, sculptural and serene; we paired curvy Pierre Paulin chairs with a brutalist inspired “Block” sectional we custom designed for this space. Ensuring the space could also be functional, we concealed a 90” TV behind a carved plaster and brass art piece that we designed to not only conceal the tv but also emits a high frequency healing energy into the home.
The kitchen space opens up to the main living and entertaining area so it was important it was visually impactful. Inspired by our clients love of boating, we wrapped the kitchen walls and ceiling in oak T&G, enveloping the space in natural warmth while also concealing the hardworking appliances and coffee closet. Italian Brecia marble and Josef Hoffman lights add interest to the minimalist architectural lines.

We believe bathing is a sensual ritual and approached this design with a sense of sacredness. Using earthen materials of plaster and Italian marble, classical arches meld with minimal lines and old world Italian marble. A 1930’s Venetian grotto chair pairs perfectly with a modern bathtub; allowing a perfect perch for bathing a deux and further exemplifying the beautiful marriage of old and new.
