Brentwood Colonial

Interior Renovation, Furniture Design 2016

Brentwood, Los Angeles CA

A simplifying and re-orienting of this home’s interior architecture allowed us to imbue each space with functional purpose and artistic meaning. Our renovation of this traditional Colonial home followed a simple path: make it fresh and relevant for a modern family with young children.

HEIGHTENED DRAMA ENVELOPES THE DINING ROOM’S MOODY PALETTE, VINTAGE VITRINES DISPLAY YEARS OF COLLECTED AMERICANA. LEANING INTO THE EVENING USE OF THIS ROOM, WE CHOSE A MOON-ESQUE FIXTURE TO FLOAT ABOVE THE TABLE CASTING LIGHT INTO THE DARKNESS.

THE SPIRIT OF THIS KITCHEN IS GROUNDED IN THE JUXTAPOSITION BETWEEN OLD AND NEW. WE SERIOUSLY WIDENED AND MODERNIZED THE EXISTING KITCHEN CREATING AN EASY FLOW AND AMPLE LIGHT INTO THIS FAMILY HUB.

We celebrate the
multi-faceted
spectrum of life.

A TIME-HONORED TRADITION OF READING THE SUNDAY TIMES HAPPENS EVERY WEEK IN THIS ELEGANTLY PATINAED DANISH WING CHAIR.
